Potassium Alum
Mineral salts are naturally astringent and inhibit bacterial growth. Potassium alum is sometimes confused with aluminum, compounds of which are the main ingredient in mainstream antiperspirant deodorants. These compounds can block pores and thereby prevent the release of sweat, the body's way of cooling itself. Alum and aluminum are two different substances. Aluminum is readily absorbed by the body; potassium alum is not. Potassium alum is a component of our all-natural deodorant, which is made without chemicals, alcohol, oils, and fragrances.
